happy 2008!! i am looking forward to another busy year helping moms and dads in our community. i still teach two childbirth classes a week and that works out perfect for my family and for my couples. i really enjoy the time i spend teaching…i have met so many amazing people!!! i hope to start a postpartum class soon. maybe i will find more interested couples this year!!??

i am happy to announce that as of this week i will be teaching a monday night and a tuesday night childbirth class…that’s huge for me!!! i have had lots of interest which is terrific to see. i hope that more women in our community realize that it’s not enough to just say you want a natural childbirth. you really need to get educated and prepare mentally, physically and emotionally!! my class is an excellent way to meet like minded individuals and share ideas and goals in a safe non judgemental environment. it’s crazy to think about all the couples who enter the hospital without even a clue as to what to expect (despite the fact that they’ve read what to expect when you’re expecting). i like to think that i’m making a difference around here but, i know that there is so much more to be done!!

i am really getting excited for our first annual reunion party on june 23rd at greenwood park!! i have contacted a kids yoga instructor and a brazilian dance instructor to come and demonstrate…i am still in the process of finding a infant massage therapist. it should be a wonderful way for families to reconnect and meet new people that share a lot of the same beliefs and interests. if you have any questions please let me know.

well, it finally happened…i have a website!! it has been quite the learning process!!!!!!!!!
i have learned a lot about myself and a lot about the technical side of life. i worked with matt, a dad from one of my classes, and he did a pretty fantastic job! i am very excited that past, present and future clients will have this site as a resource. i thank everyone who sent me their beautiful photos and testimonials…they really add to the site! i am one lucky childbirth instructor!!
