i just finished reading born in the usa by marsden wagner, m.d. and i strongly encourage you to read it too!! it was very sad and very empowering at the same time. it talks about how our broken maternity system must be fixed so that women and children are put first!! the book outlines what needs to change and how to go about it. i’d like to think my class helps promote change in our community…there is so much more that needs to be done!!!!!!!!

I also just finished reading that book! Wow, was it ever eye opening to the medical world and our maternity system! I agree there is so much that needs to be done!
